#CFReads Spring Break Book Selects!

Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann. It may be 50 years old, but this classic coming-of-age story is still as relevant as ever. The Dolls pretty much tackle all the seven deadly sins and more on their rise to fame. Plus, be sure to watch the cult-classic film version after to become fully obsessed.

The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck by Sarah Knight. Part parody, part self help, this book humorously discusses the art of caring less and getting more. Perfect for all those stressed out and overworked folks (which is pretty much everyone, right?)

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. Don’t let the stigma of YA fiction deter you. While the book may be about teen love, the themes are universal and the story beautiful and touching. As we are full on fangirls of Rainbow Rowell and this book will have you on board as well. Plus, it will give you something to bond over with your tween sister.

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. Never I have been so drawn into a book from the first line. It’s one of those stories you can literally get lost in only to come up for air and realize you have been reading for three hours. It’s a mysterious and emotional story that is so beautifully written by this first-time author. Get familiar with Celeste Ng—I am sure there are even bigger things to come from her.

Love Style Life by Garance Dore. A pioneer of street style, Garance has long understood the idea of storytelling through imagery. In her book, she combines a unique narrative that combines her beloved photographs with hand-drawn illustrations and candid wisdom. This book is as authentically Garance as her personal style.
