WHAT TO WEAR: Winter

The end of fall semester has come and gone, and finals are FINALly over! Now it’s time to kick back, binge-watch that Netflix series you’ve been dying to see and of course, enjoy some time with family and friends from home. Winter break also means family gatherings, where your extended family will ask you all kinds of wonderful questions. Some of these fantastic questions vary from “did you land an internship for the summer?” to “how’s that boyfriend hunt coming along?”.

Luckily, this Fashionista knows how to impress her family with her style; hopefully it will eliminate those pesky questions! Her style is simple, yet fashionable. What immediately caught my eye about this Fashionista was her adorable oversized flannel. It’s a simple throw on piece, but can completely alter your look! The oversized flannel brings in a more masculine look and is complemented with the riding boots. Another exciting piece on this Fashionista is her mala beads. For those of you who don’t know what mala beads are, they were originally meant for meditation and yoga. They are an adorable addition to this outfit and keep this Fashionista looking fashionable while staying zen!

One Simple Change: A great plaid shirt can be a go to staple year round. It can easily be transferred into each season. An easy switch into spring would be to ditch the leggings in exchange it for a cute flowy dress. Keep the boots and add tights to effortlessly transition this look from winter to spring. Moral of the story is: plaid is rad.
