WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

After interning all summer, I have never been more appreciative of comfortable, easy weekend outfits. Wearing heels, dress pants, pencil skirts and blazers can get a bit annoying by the end of each day and by the end of the week, I am so done with restrictive clothing. All I want to wear are my pajamas, but alas, that is still not generally accepted by the fashion community. Today’s Fashionista shares my same sentiment as her cotton and strapless, coral maxi dress is the definition of perfect weekend wear (and an acceptable alternative to pajamas).

Today’s Fashionista’s dress is a light cotton material, which makes it extremely breathable and comfortable. Not to mention, the coral color screams summer and lends itself to not needing very many accessories. The only additions to the outfit include her cork with gold trim Jack Rogers sandals, her everyday gold and silver jewelry and brown Ray-Ban aviators with gold trim.

Maxi dresses are such a staple for weekend wear because they are not only easy to throw on, but the truly make you look put together. It’s a myth that only tall, lean women can wear maxi dresses. This one is similar to today’s Fashionista’s and would look great on all body types and heights. As long as you love what you are wearing, the rules saying “what to wear for your body type” do not apply.

One Simple Change: Going on a date this Saturday night? Transform this outfit into a flawless date night look by throwing on a denim jacket and swapping out the sandals for a pair of espadrille wedges.
