WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

March 24th, 2015 at 2:10am

I don’t remember the last time I wore shorts let alone a dress. Thankfully temperatures are finally rising after a grueling winter season. It feels so good to finally shed all my coats and layers and wear skirts and dresses. I can’t wait to just enjoy the lovely breeze that spring brings. I’m sure at least every Fashionista has seen the film The Devil Wears Prada. I’m also sure everyone remembers that iconic scene when Miranda Priestly played by Meryl Streep says “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” Do not get me wrong, floral patterns are very lovely, but just like Miranda I feel like floral is a bit overrated when it comes to spring season. Floral is predictable, so why not change it up a bit?

This Fashionista did just that, she ditched the floral dress and went for a blue and red plaid patterned babydoll dress. Her dress is flirty and feminine; you can’t help but smile when you see her. The fit is just divine; it’s a little tight on the waist making this perfect hour glass shape. She finishes off the look with a simple yet quirky pair of flats with kitty eyes and whiskers in gold lining. This is the perfect outfit to go out on a weekend with your friends, Sunday morning brunch or maybe even a cute little picnic at the park!

One Simple Change: If you have plans to meet your significant other after spending the afternoon with your friends, you can totally change this outfit for a date night with the babe by adding a navy cardigan and some sheer black tights.
