WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

It finally feels like summer here in Detroit, and one of the best ways to experience this beautiful weather is to visit the park on campus in between classes. Whether you want to study a bit outside in the sun, or simply take in the views while you have the time, summer is perfect for exploring campus while bringing out your favorite summertime accessories.

This Fashionista knows exactly how to pull off that boho, casual look while exploring the park after class. She pairs some acid-washed jean cut-offs with a crochet tank top, two separate trends that happen to look really great when put together. This look is something you can wear anywhere, and depending on what else you add, can be either really dressed up or down.

What I like most about her ensemble, though, are her accessories. Her leather patchwork bag matches well with the leather shoes, and adds to the overall bohemian vibe. The abundance of necklaces she wears especially transform her outfit from something that could have been very casual and relaxed into something much more vibrant and fun. Choker necklaces are one of my favorite new trends for summer, and the way this Fashionista layers several other necklaces with her choker really takes her look to the next level. They add a lot of unique design and color to her simple tank and jeans combination.

One Simple Change: Michigan weather can be a very confusing thing, and sometimes the temperature can change in an instant. Adding a colorful kimono to this outfit would enhance the overall hippie tone, and would definitely be useful if the weather decides to change!
