WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

Starting a new summer internship can be very intimidating. One of the hardest parts is figuring out just what to wear to impress your boss. There is a fine line between casual and business professional, making the early morning choices from the closet a little stressful. Just because you have to wear something that looks professional, doesn’t mean it has to be boring! This Fashionista took her internship business look and made it fun. Adding neon colors can make any outfit stand out, but still keep the professional look.

The first accessory this Fashionista adds to her ensemble is a pink beaded necklace. Her necklace stands out for two reasons. One, it is big and two, it lies on a solid, plain gray scoop neck T-shirt. The second colored piece that stands out, which is the staple of this Fashionista’s outfit is her neon yellow skirt. This skirt is perfect for walking into the office because of its length. Although it does not quite touch the knees, is not a mini skirt either. To me, this is a great balance between casual and professional wear. Lastly, this Fashionista sneaks a little extra color in with her socks. She matches her purple, cuffed socks with Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes. The purple socks complement her yellow skirt perfectly without being too much to look at.

Tucking her shirt into her skirt helps to show off her feminine figure without revealing any skin like a crop top would. This attire is both professional and chic making it the perfect choice for a summer internship.

One Simple Change: By swapping out the gray scoop neck T-shirt with another solid colored crop top and the Sperry Top-Siders with gladiator sandals, this look can immediately be transformed and perfect for a brunch date.
