WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

Summer—the time of year when college students fill their weekdays with internships instead of classes. It can be hard transitioning from the usual all sweatpants and t-shirt ensemble to actually having to look professional. That transition is made even harder because the weather is warmer and you can’t just wear shorts and a T-shirt. Lucky, this week’s Fashionista shows us how to dress appropriately for the weather and the internship.

This Fashionista added a little bit of edge to her professional look by sporting leather leggings by Taroo NYC. Leather leggings are a great way to add a little spark of style and to your ensemble and make you stand out—this is especially great if you are interning in the fashion industry. This Fashionista is wearing a white button down by Vanilla Sky and makes it more conservative with her white C&C tank top. The tank top works as a perfect barrier between wearing this shirt as a “going out top” and one that you would wear to an internship. Instead of wearing sandals, this Fashionista wears pointed ballet flat to create a more polished look. These flats are super cool because they a blush and black—definitely not your typical black flat you would normally wear. Plus, they were bought in Barcelona! This Fashionista accessorized her look with a black Balenciaga bag and a gorgeous yellow Hermes bracelet. She is ready for her internship!

One Simple Change: Finished your internship and want to meet up with your friends for a cool dinner in the city? Take off the tank top and throw on a cool pair of wedges for an edgier look!
