WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

Summer during your college years usually means summer classes or summer jobs—maybe even both. However, free time calls for adventures with friends. Perhaps that might mean catching a concert or two this season. This week’s Fashionista shows us just what to wear while listening to those summer time tunes.

The Fashionista is wearing a summer dress in a light blue tone with a small flower print in black. This baby blue and black pattern remind me of an 18th century dress, like the kind women like Marie Antoinette used to wear. Elements of old English style are evoked from this pattern. For accessories, this Fashionista wears a black floppy hat, which is a good protector from the heat. It is always a good idea to take a hat when attending any kind of music festival this summer because there can be a lot of down time standing or sitting underneath the hot summer sun. The Fashionista also wears a pair of moccasins. As for jewelry, she keeps it at a minimum with a pair of silver earrings.

When attending outdoor music festivals, you want to keep your attire relatively loose with fabric that is lightweight. You want to wear sandals that are comfortable enough that you can walk in them for hours. As for jewelry, you can personalize that to your own taste and liking, but do stay away from heavy chains and statement necklaces, since they can get heavy.

One Simple Change: If the day turns chilly later on, take a fringe detailed moto jacket with you.
