WHAT TO WEAR: Class

We have a lot to think about while getting ready everyday for our classes. We contemplate what the weather will be like, how far across campus will I have to go (can I get away with wearing heeled booties?!), is the AC going to make the classroom cold (should I wear a jacket!?)?  This Fashionista has got it right, a comfortable but effortless look for class that we all strive for.

First, the shoes. A cute pair of Sperry Top-Siders can do a Fashionista/o no wrong. Classic and comfortable, these add something extra with the metallic gold detailing. Second, light wash shorts, at just the right length for class but short enough to be comfortable. Third, an adorable fall-inspired tank, with details on the front pocket and back. The touch of pattern suggests leaning towards fall colors and patterns, while being a tank still keeps her cool while the summer heat winds down. Finally, unique accessories. These are unique and have a lot of meaning to this Fashionista. She said, “The black bracelet is actually not jewelry, it is an Orthodox prayer rope. The wooden bracelet is an Orthodox icon bracelet.  On it are icons of Jesus, the Mother of God, and the Saints. I wear these everyday to remind me to pray and that Jesus, the Mother of God, and the Saints are always with me. My necklace was given to me by my grandmother as a Christmas gift, it is very special to me and the stone is my favorite color!”
