WHAT TO WEAR: Celebration

The Chinese Student Association just held a Chinese New Year show in the Mondavi center on campus last weekend. Chinese New Year is one of the most important festivals for the Chinese, so almost all Chinese students like to dress up for that day and celebrate the festival with good friends. Having an outstanding outfit let this Fashionisito enjoy the festival and impress his friends easily. When I was on the way to the show, I found this Fashionisto on campus and his style caught my eye immediately.

I like the way that the Fashionisito combined a simple white shirt and a blue Kenzo sweater with black trousers. Wearing a sweater can be too casual for a festival and a show, and the suit outfit is too formal at the same time. This combination made his outfit look semi-formal, but also chic because of the pattern and the color of the sweater. The color of the sweater made this Fashionisto pop out when he stood in the crowd. Meanwhile, this Fashionisto pays close attention to the details. He made the cuffs on the shirt longer than the sweater’s, which made the whole outfit look more tasteful.

My attention was attracted to his backpack. This MCM backpack is popular in the Asian fashion world right now. The special design and the leather material made this backpack fit the winter perfectly. In addition, the volume of the backpack can conveniently carry all things you need during the class time.

One Simple Change: Once the temperature drops during the night, a black coat would be perfect to layer up and keep warm.
