STYLE GURU STYLE: Sundazed

I’ve always been a fan of looks that are simple but pretty, and that’s exactly why I fell in love with the Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Described as “pretty yet precise, elegant but not excessive, practical rather than pouty,” this dreamy line of breezy textiles and lacy sandals is absolutely perfect for summer.

To recreate a look of my own, I started off with a white sundress. I thought that its beautiful eyelet detailing and embroidery was very similar to the dresses featured in the Chloé collection and I absolutely adore its capped sleeves! Next to A-line cuts, boxy silhouettes like this shift dress are my favorite because I never feel restricted by tight fabric.

Unfortunately, I am still on the hunt for the perfectly priced pair of lace-up gladiator sandals. They were what initially drew me to the Chloé line, and they look so feminine and effortless during the summer. Instead, I opted for my pair of mini platform gladiators. I’m obsessed with their white rubber bottoms and they gave some height similar to the slightly wedged sandals that the models wore throughout the collection. I’ve been wearing these shoes a lot lately. They are super comfortable and whenever I run around town in them I feel like I’m rocking a pair of hybrid sneakers or something. I kept the rest of my accessories minimal with a pair of aviator sunglasses, a small leather cross-body bag and my Kendra Scott druzy stone necklace that I wear almost every day. I pulled my hair back and out of my face into a pony tail to keep my look casual.

Stay cool and comfortable this summer by pairing your favorite sundress with tall gladiator sandals for a #RAD look that’s on-trend and practical!
