STYLE GURU STYLE: Spring Has Sprung

The kate spade new york spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection was just simply stunning.   When I think of kate spade new york, I can’t help but think of feminine, unique and brightly colored pieces. This collection truly captured waking up on a sunny spring morning. Bringing back almost a ’60s mod feel with tennis dresses, flared skirts, crop tops and perfect silhouettes. Every piece ranged from bright colors, a hint of monochromatic hues, beautiful thick stripes and floral. This collection also featured a little quirkiness. Of course, the bags featured were simply brilliant, resembling flowerpots, garden animals and the flirty essences of spring.

For my look, I was inspired from the perfect eyelet dresses that were displayed. Since this collection featured many pops of color and bright greens, I thought pairing my eyelet dress with Kelly green ballet flats would be perfect. For an even more pop of color it seemed appropriate to wear bright pink lipstick to bring my look together. With this look I kept it very minimal and wore no accessories.

This collection has gotten me even more excited for the approaching spring season and warm weather. It has also inspired me to bring more quirky and flirty accents to my own personal style. Of course, kate spade new york does it again with bright, classic and colorful pieces. I honestly would want to wear each of these looks everyday. This collection is simply joyous and effortless.

Get My Look: 1. A simple eyelet dress. 2. Bright pink lipstick. 3. Kelly green ballet flats.
