STYLE GURU STYLE: Printed Palazzos

The palazzo pant is said to be the chic, new alternative to jeans, perfect for summer because of  their light fabric and eccentric colors and patterns. I first encountered the palazzo plant on a summer trip to Italy. Many European women rock the palazzo pant in the hot Mediterranean summer months as a way to stay chic, trendy and cool all at the same time.

I have been personally curious of the palazzo pant since I first saw them in Italy; however, I did not think of trying them out for myself until I saw a pair of the palazzos featured in Just Cavalli resort 2016 collection. I fell in love with the pale pink floral palazzo pants and solid pale pink top. This was the moment I decided to try the trend out for myself. After all, those European trends are all the rage!

Once I made the decision to try out the palazzo pant trend, I decided it was go big or go home. The palazzo pants I chose contain bright colors of green, pink yellow, blue and orange, a busy pattern and a wide leg. This was a daring choice, but I do believe it was well worth it. I loved the light fabric of the pants, and their loud print and colors were perfect for the hot weather. They are both stylish and practical for the summer season. The palazzo pants provoke a bohemian chic look that brings out the inner hippie of a Fashionista.

I added to my look with a solid black lace crop top with fringe detail and a silver glitter headband. My crop top is of a solid black color to contrast the intensity of the colors and pattern of the palazzo pants. The lace and fringe detailing play up the crop top without making the outfit look too busy. The silver glitter headband adds that little extra something with a touch of sparkle and keeps with the bohemian theme of this look.
