Derek Lam 10 Crosby inspired my look for this week. Their resort 2016 collection used lots of denim and created great looks with a variety of blue shades. Denim on denim and chambray dresses are a huge trend this season, so I wanted to test it out and create a look that’s inspired by the great Derek Lam.
Today at brunch, I wore a chambray dress, white sneakers and accessorized with mirror shades and a black tote. I just picked up my dress at Forever 21 and I’m absolutely obsessed with it. It’s so comfortable and can easily be worn to brunch with a friend, or can be dressed up for a fun night out! Although Derek Lam’s models wore mainly wedges and platforms, I decided to keep it casual with my white sneakers. They’re the best shoes and it’s really easy to pair them with any look. I just recently bought my mirrored sunglasses from Urban Outfitters and now they’re my absolute favorite pair. With my accessories, I really made this Derek Lam-inspired look a much more casual look that you could easily wear to class.
To take this look from day to night, I would throw on a pair of heels and a leather jacket. Switch out the oversized tote bag and shades for a cross-body bag, as well. The chambray dress is a really versatile dress that can be dressed up or down with just a few accessory changes. Try this denim look, and experiment with it to match your own personal style!
