STYLE GURU STYLE: Kimono is a Go

Emanuel Ungaro‘s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection is bursting with florals. Living in a world with florals all year round is a great world to live in! The collection featured different floral patterns paired with cheetah prints, houndstooth patterns, gowns and long coats.  There were different shades of blue and red. The collection also featured black and gold, in between the different patterns. Every look was exciting and unique.

Thankfully, spring is right around the corner.  As much as I love chunky sweaters, I miss warm weather more than I can explain. I’m wearing a fringe, floral kimono which gets me so excited for the flowers that will bloom in spring. I’m also wearing a gray T-shirt, denim blue jeans and brown combat boots. This outfit is getting me ready for spring; I’m pretty much counting down the days.

The different floral prints and long outerwear inspired my outfit which features a kimono.  Because the weather is pretty warm right now, a long trench coat would be hard to wear but a floral kimono is a nice, light weight substitute. Some of the other tones in the collection are muted and soft. I did the same with my outfit, I wore a gray shirt and jeans to keep the focus on the beautiful kimono.

If you do not have a kimono in your closet then you really need to get one. They are the perfect statement piece to spice up and outfit. The florals in Ungaro’s collection are the perfect inspiration for your next outfit.
