STYLE GURU STYLE: Italiano Amore

This spring we encountered a brand new Dolce&Gabbana. The spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway show fully showed its potential in combining Italian culture into fashion world. Most of the outfits featured the classy color combination: red, black, white and gold. Dolce&Gabbana especially used rose to represent its theme for spring time in 2015. In addition, sophisticated embroideries were added to create a vintage sense of European royal costume. After watching the show, I thought of my own black and red maxi dress. Although the dress doesn’t show an intricately detailed work as does the dress from Dolce&Gabbana, it combines this trend with my personal style and attitude.

The floral maxi dress is decorated by smaller red flower pattern, which defines it a more daily wear dress than important occasion outfit. At the back of this dress a slit is designed to showcase part of the leg. To suit this Italian brand inspired outfit, I chose a pair of ivory pearl earrings to represent the classic Italian romantic lifestyle. The d’orsay leather flats embrace the color of my earrings. The gold snakeskin textile on the back of the flats corresponds to the gold element in the runway show. A red lip is a must-have for this outfit. Instead of using a hot red, I chose NARS Lana orange red lipstick because it fits well with my skin color.

Dolce&Gabbana’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway show inspired me to add Italian into my daily look. It also taught me that details are crucial. Paying attention to every part of your outfit creates perfection.
