STYLE GURU STYLE: Fur for All

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m so happy that faux fur is still considered a pretty cool sartorial choice. For a while, fur seemed to sort of disappear completely from the fashion radar but started to make a comeback in recent years.

In Altuzarra’s fall 2105 ready-to-wear collection, looks featured accents of fur like full, exaggerated fur collars and fur coats in varying colors, including a blue toned one similar to Pantone’s 2016 color of the year, Serenity.

For my look, I decided to go with the accented fur route, mainly because that’s what I had in my closet to begin with. I picked up this faux fur vest a couple of years ago and it’s the perfect piece to wear when you just want to feel a little extra oomph.

I built my look on a pretty basic base. I started with a black turtleneck, which has kind of become a staple this year and paired it with a pair of ponte leggings from J.Crew. If you haven’t discovered a pair of ponte leggings yet, I highly suggest that you do because these leggings definitely are pants.

To finish off the look, I kept accessories minimal by wearing some heeled knee-high boots from Bar III and grabbed my Cambridge satchel.

This look is perfect for basically anything you have on your agenda since it’s guaranteed to keep you warm, comfortable and looking good.

Get My Look: 1. Faux fur vest. 2. Ponte leggings. 3. Black turtleneck. 4. Black heeled boots.
