When I can execute an outfit that is comfortable and stylish, I know am going to have a great day. When I’m comfortable, I’m most confident, and this outfit achieved just that!
My inspiration behind this look came from the BCBGMAXAZRIA spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The key colors in this show were white and pastel pinks and blues. Most of the pieces on the runway included vibrant prints. The fabrics used resembled satin and silk, and the silhouettes were feminine, loose and breezy. I loved that each piece that went down the runway seemed so chic and effortless. Every garment can easily be translated into everyday wear.
I was inspired by the loose fit and the pastel blue. My ribbed top from Topshop almost perfectly matches the color used in the collection. I noticed that some of the outfits had one shoulder or sleeveless tops and dresses. I thought it was really cool that my Topshop top had the cutouts on the shoulders.
My black jogger pants were so comfortable! The loose fit, comparable to the dresses in the collection, gives the feel of cotton joggers but has a more sophisticated look. Of course, the fact that they were black was definitely a plus for me, seeing that I love black.
My necklace was the highlight of my outfit. It is dainty and stands out. The hat, however, was a lifesaver that day. It was a rainy day, meaning a bad hair day was in store. It was convenient and stylish, and what more can a girl ask for?
