Preppy garments, pretty colors, dainty details and beautiful accessories are all ingredients in creating the perfect outfit. I love creating an eye catching look by using a lot of neutrals and then adding a few exceptional pieces. This outfit was for a date night so I decided to go with on a style a little more fancy than an every day look.
This outfit was inspired by the Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I loved all of the intricate lace details that Chloé showcased this spring. I also loved the pale color scheme. I was so happy when I found this crop top and skirt combination because I felt they did a great job of conveying the trends seen on the runway.
To translate this look from runway to street style I felt the most important element was the lace. When I saw these two garments they really stood out to me. I also couldn’t help but love the color scheme. One of the main colors of the Chloé show was a crisp white and they used a pale blue as an accent. The silhouette of my pieces is a bit more fitted than the flowing silhouettes in the Chloé collection. However, the A-line silhouette with a crop top was perfect for my date night.
To achieve a similar look I would recommend looking for a lace skirt and top. Then find a cute, simple heel and some statement jewelry to add a little sparkle. Also, a beautiful bag never hurts am I right?
