Hello everyone! My name is Yzabelle (pronounced Isabelle) and this is my first semester as a Style Guru. I’m currently a senior at Fordham University as an English Literature major.
I’m a very passionate person, with the belief that we should break outside our boundaries and try new things, fashion included. I grew up in a family that embraces their personal style, some of which I have inherited. I also love languages and more often than not you’ll hear me switch back and forth between a few.
I’m excited to be a Style Guru because for me, fashion has always been a way to connect with people, no matter the language. It also allows me to merge my two interests: fashion and photography. It’s amazing to be able to share and connect with people with similar interests.
My style is inspired by what’s around me, whether that be a trip to another city or walking around my favorite museums. It allows me to tell a story and convey a particular mood. A particular song I’m listening to could inspire my outfit for the day, or a movie I just watched. I consider my style a combination of minimalistic, the ’90s and laid back. You’ll often find me in trousers, joggers or boyfriend jeans paired with a boxy T-shirt. My usual go-to footwear is white sneakers.
Beyond being a Style Guru and blogger, I’m a huge foodie and tea lover. If you catch me, I’ll usually have a bubble tea and a foreign magazine or book in hand.
Lastly, I’m so happy to be apart of the CollegeFashionista community. I’m looking forward to connecting and sharing my love of fashion with others.
