My name is Wendy and I’m an incoming sophomore double majoring in Marketing and Business Process Management at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This is my second semester interning for CollegeFashionista and I’m psyched to bring you the latest fashion trends around campus this summer!
One thing you need to know about me is that I’m a firm believer in capturing moments, whether that be a feeling or an experience. This is the root in my love for fashion, film, music and photography. To me, the arts are a metaphorical timepiece that have the power of bringing me back to a memory or a dream that I dearly regret or long for. It’s a beautiful and incomparable experience how a record or even an outfit can remind me of a certain aspect in my life and make me feel as though I’ve never left.
My style has been evolving lately depending on how I feel on a given day. It’s a predicament to label my style and settle on a particular look because my mood is constantly changing and my outlook on life is constantly expanding. I tend to garner inspiration from my travels, feelings and experiences, as I become more exposed to new people, things and places. As of late, I have been keen on donning my favorite denim jacket over dresses, lounging in overalls and a T-shirt and pairing boyfriend jeans with platform Chelsea boots.
This summer, I will be continuing to learn and grow both academically and personally. In my free time, you will probably catch me idolizing Julian Casablancas, attending concerts and events, going on spontaneous adventures, grabbing brunch at a local café and studying while I’m traveling.
