STYLE GURU BIO: Liza Atillasoy

Hey there Fashionistas/os! My name is Liza Atillasoy and I’m a senior at Temple University studying secondary education and English. This is my first internship with CollegeFashionista and I’m thrilled to be part of such an awesome team of like-minded style seekers.

Whether I’m searching for the latest trend on Instagram or browsing my favorite fashion blogs, style has always been an important part of my life. My favorite part of my day is the morning when I’m checking my planner that I’m obsessed with, making my iced coffee and choosing my outfits for the many forthcoming activities.

As any college student knows, when you’re non-stop on the go, it’s a challenge to look appropriate and functional yet current for classes, club meetings and internships. I love to rock booties and jeans or a dress to my morning classes, then slip into a sporty-chic workout look to teach spinning at the school gym. Even when I’m sweating, I try to stay on-trend with the latest athleisure that flaunts all of my hard work. In between it all, I’m updating my workout playlists or listening to CollegeFashionista’s Office Hours podcast through my headphones.

Right now, I’m really feeling these patchwork jeans, black canvas slip-ons and a vintage T-shirt with my showcase pieces: a felt fedora and short scarf. This low-key, casual look is perfect for all of summer’s outdoor festivities. It’s hard not to pile on every accessory you own, but it’s all about balancing trendy pieces with timeless staples. That way you really let those killer fashion choices dazzle and not overwhelm your audience.

College is all about exploring your interests and figuring out who you are. Through my fashion choices, I like to tell the world that I’m outgoing, bold, sporty and determined. What would your outfit say about you? From one Fashionista to another, I can’t wait to see what this exciting summer has in store!
