STYLE GURU BIO: Kerri O’Connell

Hey, Fashionistas! I’m working as a summer intern with CollegeFashionista, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve actually never blogged before, let alone blogged about fashion, so I can’t wait to see what the next three months hold. As a rising sophomore and a business student at Bryant University, writing for CollegeFashionista will be a nice creative outlet for me. I’ve always loved writing and fashion, so being able to combine the two is bound to be an interesting experience.

Over the course of the summer, you’ll see my love for classics. Pearls, seersucker, navy and white—I guess you could say the Rhode Island style has rubbed off on me. Despite this, I always like cool patterns and boho-chic looks, especially to reflect the coolness and simplicity that comes during the summertime. One of my most recent obsessions is bralettes. Not only are they cute and comfortable, but when the lace is paired with a different texture, it creates a memorable look.

I also love a good cardigan; you can dress it up for a night out or dress it down for a day of running errands. As for color, you really can’t go wrong with classic colors like cream, black and navy. In my opinion, no matter your age, a cardigan is a must-have for any girl’s closet.

Check in with me throughout the summer for tips on how to present yourself, whether you’re in the boardroom or going to the beach. After all, everyone likes well-rounded people.
