STYLE GURU BIO: Faith Zwicker

Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Faith Zwicker and I am so excited to be starting my sophomore year and my third semester with CollegeFashionista! One day I hope to become a writer or editor at a fashion magazine, but for right now, I am a fashion merchandising major with a fashion media minor at Kent State University. I also get to help with A Magazine, Kent State’s fashion magazine, which I’m looking forward to.

When I’m not writing articles or going to classes, you can find me at the gym. Spinning and yoga classes are my favorites, and grabbing a smoothie after is always fine by me. The rest of my time is spent hanging out with friends whether we’re exploring Kent or Cleveland, or eating whatever good food we can find. Although I have to spend two semesters a year in landlocked Ohio (lakes don’t count as not being landlocked), I always dream of the beach and go as often as I can. My family loves to travel so I’ve had the privilege of exploring many beaches and have gotten a pretty good tan along the way.

I have started documenting all of my adventures on my blog called The Garment Garden. My New Year resolution for 2016 was to write an article for my blog once a month and I’m proud to say, so far so good.

With all the styles I’ve been influenced by at school, through CollegeFashionista, on Pinterest and from fashion bloggers, I have been able to shape my own personal style. I take inspiration from the ’70s, specifically loose, feminine garments and I love anything floral, pastel or white. Recently, I’ve been obsessed with denim and have bought new Levi Brand Jeans, a pair of overalls, a denim button-up skirt and a denim overall dress; I am still on the search for the perfect denim jacket. For my look, I chose a cream dress with a beautiful, blue floral print. I paired the dress with platform espadrilles, layered necklaces and a brown suede bag.

I can’t wait to share more articles with you guys this semester showcasing the best fashion at Kent State!
