Hello and happy New Years, fellow Fashionistas! My name is Ellie Lundgren, and I am beyond thrilled to begin my first semester as a Style Guru here at CollegeFashionista! I am currently as sophomore at The University of Tampa where I study Marketing in the business school and have a minor in Spanish.
Originally from Smalltown, Minnesota, I chose my school for obvious reasons—weather, the city and somewhere I could restart. That is exactly what The University of Tampa has given me. Going to school far, far away has given me a chance to reinvent myself and with that, reinvent my style as well. While at home, I love to keep to my Midwestern roots and wear nothing but chunky sweaters, combat boots and my staple, thrifted flannel. But I trade all of those in for the easy, breezy Florida style that is my school wardrobe. My affinity for detailed shorts and loose tanks that don’t require a padded bra has only strengthened my love affair for the consistently sunny Tampa, Florida, the endless beach days and outdoor, morning runs. Plus, who wants to go out wearing a parka? Not me.
With only a few more weeks here in the frozen tundra, I can’t wait to make the long drive back down south and get this spring semester going on the right start—with style and a tan.
