STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Morales

Hi there, Fashionistas and Fashionistos!  My name is Elizabeth Morales and I am a rising junior at DePauw University. At DePauw, I am a Psychology and Spanish double major with an art history minor.  While my studies do not focus on fashion, I am extremely passionate about all things related to it from shopping to styling, and I often spend time mentally creating new outfits and combinations to try out for when I leave class. This summer is my first semester interning as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I am thrilled to be able to show off my interests and personal tastes through my posts every Monday!

Going to a small, liberal arts school in the middle of Indiana, the majority of my fashion inspiration comes from the Internet and celebrities. Because my university is in a small town with Wal-Mart as the only store nearby, I am forced to get creative with how I find new clothing and accessories. However, the students on campus are amazing at providing me inspiration and I am always able to find someone wearing a piece so unique and new that I have to stop her to see where she got it.

While it is hard to define my style in a few words, there are some key characteristics I tend to stick to when choosing an outfit for the day. My staple pieces are usually blacks and grays, whether they are pants, dresses or shoes. Although my clothes tend to be monochromatic, I add color to my outfits through my accessories and makeup. Lately, I have been in love with the ‘90s grunge look. I can be seen wearing dark lipstick and chokers on a daily basis. A quick application of colored mascara or eyeliner can complete any look and add a pop of color when wearing a dark outfit.

Feel free to contact me through any of my social media platforms which I will be updating weekly with information about my Style Guru posts!
