STYLE GURU BIO: Annalee Craig

Hello loves! My name is Annalee Craig and I am a senior fashion merchandising and management major at Philadelphia University. I am from the small, quaint town of Malvern that is located in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. My life long dream has always been to move to the Big Apple, New York City, and pursue a career in the fashion industry.

My love for fashion started at a young age, beginning with a five-year-old me dressing up my younger brother in my mom’s heels and a pink feather boa. I used to always find my way into my mother’s closet, pick out my favorite pieces and put on a fashion show for my whole family as if I was a mini Heidi Klum. Not much has changed since then, I still occasionally steal my mother’s clothes and my love for fashion and style only continues to grow.

One thing you should definitely know about my style is that I always keep it simple and chic. I think it is important to have statement pieces and keep up with current trends, but stay true to your own personal style. I think the most important piece to have in your closet is denim; a good pair of jeans can go a long way! I have a love for neutral colors and earthy tones with small pops of color, such as a bold lip or a brightly colored bag.

After graduating college, I plan to pack up my life and move to New York to start a career in fashion. I have always dreamed of working for Vogue and eventually making my way up to creative director. I know that is a bit far fetched but I will be happy doing anything in the fashion industry because I will be pursuing a career that I am extremely passionate about.

Obviously, my favorite piece from my outfit is my denim jacket that I got from Nordstrom which I put over my favorite white romper from Free People. I am absolutely obsessed with the crochet detail on the romper because it gives it a bit of a flirty edge. It is a perfect summer outfit that can easily be transitioned for a night out, so I paired it with a simple, nude heel from Steve Madden.

I’m so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista this summer and don’t forget to keep an eye out for more posts!
