STYLE GURU BIO: Anastasia Krasuski

Hey Fashionistas! I’m so excited to be able to share a little bit about myself and my style with all of you this summer.  I am currently seeking a degree in journalism and hope to someday make my way into the fashion industry. Fashion is the way I best express myself, and I have loved all things style since I was in kindergarten mixing stripes and polka-dots.

If I could describe my style in one word, it would be classic. While I sometimes veer towards the trendy bohemian look, my style is mostly preppy, minimal and feminine. I love pieces that transition into all seasons and trends, such as the classic fit and flare dress, button up shirt and pearls. I look to women like Olivia Palermo, Blair Waldorf (even though she’s fictional) and Sarah Vickers for style inspiration because of the way they make classic, structured pieces look modern and stylish.

In my current outfit, I have chosen an A-line shaped dress by kate spade with a fun and vibrant summer pattern. The A-line dress is so flattering on almost any body type and is also such a classic fit. To make my outfit a bit more trendy, I have paired the dress with Steve Madden chunky heels. This style of shoe is all the rage right now, and adds a contemporary touch to a more traditional look. To tie everything together, I’ve added statement earrings and a bracelet both by Kendra Scott, and the perfect tote bag also by kate spade.

This dress could be paired with flat sandals, a black cardigan and hair worn in a low pony to be worn more casually. It’s important to know how to style for all circumstances, and the A-line dress is perfect for any situation from a barbecue to a business meeting.

I can’t wait to share more about how my style reflects who I am. Like my favorite style icon, Blair Waldorf, once said: “Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It’s movement, design and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we’d like to be.” Stay tuned for more style advice on how to be trendy while staying classic!
