STYLE GURU BIO: Alyssa Frank

My name is Alyssa Frank and I’m a style guru from Michigan State University. I’m going into my sophomore year on campus in the fall, and I can not be more excited! I’m currently enrolled in the Broad College of Business at MSU with plans to major in marketing and international business.

I’m working on my fluency in French and I have an intense passion for meeting new people and traveling new places. I hope that someday my career will allow me to travel and open my eyes to new traditions and ways of living. I’m young, so I feel like I have a lot of different goals that may or may not pan out the way I want them to come graduation. Some days, I seriously consider serving for the Peace Corps, while other days the only place I can see myself is in New York City, working till 1:00 a.m. and doing it all again the next day.

Overall goal? To work for an athletic clothing company.

I’ve always been interested in fashion and knew it was something I could spend the rest of my life talking about, being surrounded by and learning from; although I was never the high fashion type of gal.

I enjoy comfort over the Alexander Wang classics. I love wearing wedges, but I prefer my Nike Free running shoes. An overall theme you’ll see in my posts are basics with an athletic twist and passion for lululemon—or an addiction—however you want to categorize it. I believe that fashion is the most influential when it’s cute AND flexible, and that’s what athletic clothing often combines.

Personally, I feel that I can’t put my best foot forward unless I feel put together and comfortable in my own skin, so I hope that my inspiration and eye for fashion will inspire you as well. If there’s anything you take away from my posts I hope it’s that the definition of fashion is whatever you make it to be, as long as you feel good about yourself in the making.
