STYLE GURU BIO: Alexa Amato

Hi fellow Fashionistas/Fashionistos! My name is Alexa Amato. I am 20 years old, and a junior studying marketing at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. I am so excited to start my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I hope to continue interning for this amazing company throughout the rest of my undergraduate career!

Fashion has always been a huge part of my life. Even as a baby, my mom always had me dressed to the nines. I definitely know who I got my love for clothes and shopping from. As many of us know, trends are always changing. Style, for me, is all about how you are feeling when you wake up in the morning. When people ask me to describe my style I can never simply put it into words. I dress how I want, when I want. Sometimes I feel like Blair Waldorf. Sometimes I feel like Serena van der Woodsen, and other times I feel like Jenny Humphrey. For those of you who haven’t watched Gossip Girl, I will explain. Sometimes I dress classic and feminine. Other times I want to push the envelope and wear whatever is trendy at the moment. When I am channeling my inner Little J, my outfits are usually moto-inspired. Fashion is a way that we can all express ourselves. People change. Trends change. Styles change. I am all about wearing what I’m comfortable in, in that moment.

Since it’s summer now, and it is starting to get really hot here on the east coast, I am loving simple pieces that are super breathable. I already know that rompers and jumpsuits are going to be go-to pieces for me this season. Like I said, my style is always changing, but lately I have been into dressing really feminine and girly. You would usually see me sporting a lot of black with a bold lip color, but this season I am really into light and bright colors.

When I am not blogging, you can find me watching Netflix, singing or scrolling through all of my social media accounts (yes, I do have one of everything). I am the definition of a homebody so you can almost always find me surrounded by family, friends or a combination of the two. I cannot wait for you all to see all of the fabulous Fashionistas/Fashionistos we have here along The Main Line. I hope you are all as excited as I am for this summer. Stay tuned for lots of RAD articles every Friday morning!
