STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Dressing Fur Comfort

When you think of winter in Western Pennsylvania, one of two things usually comes to mind: constant gray skies and harsh winter winds. That being said, dressing with both comfort and warmth in mind is always a safe choice. That’s why I love how popular parkas have become in the past few years. The cut and the traditional army green and dark gray colors are flattering on just about everyone, which has made it a definite winter wardrobe staple. Not to mention that the fur hood is perfect for braving the elements, especially when walking to class, which makes you look both cozy and cute!

You can’t go wrong with a sweater and leggings for class. Pairing a fun and oversized textured or patterned top with a neutral bottom and accessories is the perfect way to feel not only casual but also like you took some time to put yourself together in the morning. They’re the perfect layering piece; put one over a collared button-down for a business casual look or with some fun chunky jewelry to put a spin on a basic, everyday outfit.

You can’t have the perfect outfit without a great pair of shoes. I love how this Fashionista styled these fur boots to match her fur hood. It balances out the jacket so it doesn’t seem too top-heavy while also keeping her feet warm and dry. I’m all about adding a great pair of winter boots into everyday looks, and I love how versatile these could be.
