STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Dress ‘N’ Tell

It’s quite a rare sighting to come across a college student dressed to the nines in a college town, even on the weekends. Getting dolled up isn’t the problem, it’s finding somewhere to get dolled up for. I’ve come to realize that a day outing in my college town consists of a broad range of attire, falling anywhere from running shorts with Nikes, to a dress with wedges. For the most part, the majority of these students aim to dress with comfort, because the last thing you want is to be the girl wearing heels stepping on everyone’s toes, (literally).

This Fashionista exhibits a happy medium between the extensive range of daytime outfits found in the heart of the Gator Nation. To make it easy on herself, she threw on this sheer cream-colored dress and used it as her focal point. The dress aligns with summer trends because the free-flowing fit allows her to permit a cool breeze instead of sticky sweat. Additionally, the pastel color retracts sunlight, making it more acceptable for a daytime outing. To tie it all together, she accommodated the dress to her personal style by integrating her favorite purse, shoes and jewelry.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I admire dresses because they’re so fun and effortless, but I love this one in particular because it’s so versatile. Oftentimes I ditch the removable slip and wear the sheer dress as a bathing suit cover-up for the summer, plus, you can fit a dress into almost any occasion.”
