STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Comfy, Casual, Classy, Chic

More and more each day we see people dressing up their comfy clothes. This trend started as the “off duty model” look but has escalated quickly in a trickle-down format from models to regular people. During Fashion Week you will see many off duty models walking around in over-sized sweaters, leggings and heels. They want to be relaxed while they aren’t walking in shows, while still staying fashionable. Even though most of us aren’t runway models, we still have many moments in life where we feel tired but still want to look good. This is where this trend comes in perfectly.

This trend has been very successful and is one that I personally love. Not only does it give Fashionistas the ability to be comfortable while looking fabulous, it also allows them to be original and creative in what they pair together. There are an unlimited amount of ways to achieve this look but my favorite is to put together a pair of joggers and a pair of heels. Not only is it comfortable but it also looks effortless and original. Along with that, it also mixes both masculine and feminine styles into one outfit.

When I saw this Fashionista wearing a mixture of casual and classy elements in her outfit, I thought she absolutely rocked this trend. Her casual elements consist of her baseball cap, over-sized denim shirt and braids while her sophisticated elements consist of her silk, polka dot shorts and white heels. The biggest success of her relaxed, yet fashionable outfit are the baseball cap and the heels. Most people would never think that these two elements would work but in this outfit, they are the two aspects that pull it all together.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Comfort is the key for me but there are instances in my life where I also need to be dressy. The ability to mix these two styles and be both comfortable and stylish is what my wardrobe revolves around. Don’t be afraid to try things that usually don’t go well together, be creative!”
