Color is always an important part of an outfit. It tells the world a lot about your personality and what you’re feeling that day. Black can say you’re feeling artsy or mysterious, blue gives off a mellow vibe and purple can come off as powerful. We look to color to convey a message to the world and this outfit did just that.
It was easy to spot this Fashionista across our crowded campus. Her skirt caught my eye as I was hurrying off to class and I just knew I had to stop her. Luckily I was able to catch up to her and snap a few pictures. This entire outfit is flawless; from the floral shirt to the coral maxi skirt, the thick brown belt and the strappy brown sandals. Since we’re talking about color I want to focus on the brightest part of the outfit first, the skirt. This maxi coral skirt is in fact the focal point of the outfit. Like I said earlier it’s the first thing that catches the eye, it’s a very dramatic skirt. It isn’t everyday that you see a maxi skirt in such a vibrant color.
The great thing about this outfit is that it flows really well. The cream floral shirt gives the outfit a hint of simple elegance and the addition of the brown belt makes the outfit look more like a dress than separates. Under the floral shirt we see a lacy camisole has been added for a more modest look. Now most people would frown at the addition of a camisole, but I love adding a little mystery to an outfit. Remember there is no shame in a little modesty.
