STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Automatically Cute

Although I welcome summer with open arms and overexcitement, I have always found it challenging to style myself during the warmer months. Personally, I find it much easier to create outfits out of the various layers that are needed during November, December and January to keep me warm. In knowing this, I have filled my closet with summer “go-to’s” that provided me with cute outfits and keep my stress level at a minimum. The mantra “less is more” takes over as I fill my closet with simple sundresses, rompers and Converse.

This Fashionista’s outfit does not only contain depth of style, but also pictures simple pieces that are interesting to look at. She played off of the natural wave of her hair, utilized a sleek black pair of sunglasses, multiple piercings and a trendy bold pattern to elevate what was a simplistic outfit to an intricate getup. I appreciated the fact that she used a lively print and a simple sandal to create a romper and sandal combo that was easy to throw on without having to worry about whether or not her outfit was cute enough for a Memorial Day barbecue. Festive too, am I right?

I think the best thing about having multiple rompers and dresses is that you know that these clothes are automatically guaranteed to be cute and you never have to freak out about having nothing to wear for a given occasion. However, when shopping for these guaranteed outfits, the fit and cut of these items is crucial. In my eyes, these simple summer articles are comparable to a well fitting black dress that headlines the “go-to” category. Simple articles are mainly awesome because they are perfectly fitted to show off your best features. So choose wisely and make sure your new purchases are tailored to your body!

What is your STYLE ADIVE OF THE WEEK? “Sometimes when I set out to put together a cute outfit, I find myself trying too hard. I know myself and I know in these moments I have to stick to my simpler outfits that are always crowd favorites.”
