I don’t know about you guys, but I am so ready for the summer to begin. It’s time for a whole new wardrobe and there are some great trends this summer. I am so happy to be returning as a Style Guru for summer 2017, making this my second semester as a Style Guru. In this article I am going to give y’all a little summer style advice on all of the up-and-coming trends for this summer.
If you guys know me, you know I am a ’90s grunge fanatic, so of course I had to incorporate that a little into my outfit here. The vibes for this summer 2017 are kind of retro desert. I am all about experimenting with the latest trends and I love some of these new summer trends that are out right now.
My mesh jersey knit top is a new trend that I am seeing all over stores. Pair it with your favorite bralette and it is a great summer look for any hot day. The retro sunglasses are all the rage on Instagram right now. I love this pair of orange glasses; it really makes the outfit more fun in my opinion. The jean skirt I’m wearing is a great lightweight button-down skirt kind of going along with the retro vibe of this outfit. Even though it is summer I still wore my favorite Adidas Originals because they are so comfortable and I feel like they are easy to wear if you are always on the move like I am. If you wanted to dress this outfit up a little more you could add a little bootie or sandal. I feel like this outfit has the perfect vintage summer look written all over it. It would be perfect to wear to a summer concert or festival.
Okay, Fashionistas! Remember to get out of your comfort zone. I think of summer as kind of a time for experimenting with your wardrobe. You aren’t in school so you can wear whatever you want and play with your style a little bit. Get out there and put your summer style advice to use.
