While some Fashionistas and Fashionistos are shivering in their boots, we can’t forget about those who are lucky enough to go to school where the sun is always shining. While I personally go to school in the tundra that some people call Delaware, this week’s stunning Fashionista gets to study in the Sunshine State. Just like all of us, this Fashionista is starting off a new semester and doesn’t want to keep recycling the same high-waisted Levi’s and crop top (aka jeans and a sweater for all my fellow cold weather students). Instead, this Fashionista takes a bolder route and mixes patterns and colors to make for the perfect outfit.
While sometimes mixing prints and designs can be a complete fashion-don’t, if you do it the right way, you are sure to turn heads as you walk to class. By mixing shorts that are multiple shades of purple with a light blue blouse with purple, pink and yellow flowers, this Fashionista has an outfit that will make her stand out in any crowd. By breaking up the patterns with a brown belt, this outfit looks trendy without looking overwhelming.
The brown wedges that the Fashionista pairs with the ensemble makes it the perfect outfit for any warm weather event. From walking to class, to spending a day on the town, this Fashionista is prepared for it all. The mixture of gold and silver jewelry also ties in nicely with all of the other bold pattern mixes, and the dark, black sunglasses are another strong statement.
So, for all of you lucky style lovers who are soaking up some rays as the rest of us are catching snowflakes on our tongues, don’t dread re-wearing all of your old outfits from first semester. Take the time to go through your closet and make outfits that you never thought were possible. Be bold!
One Simple Change: For an early morning class, when the weather is still a little chilly, instead of wearing this tank blouse you can wear a knit, white sweater.
