The hustle and bustle of a city like Valencia calls its people out to walk the streets and use any simple excuse as a means to put on their new trendiest item from their closet. The Spanish culture is displayed throughout the entire city. Vibrant colored walls open up to monumental bridges, with some of the most mesmerizing statues and fountains. Roaming around, I could not help but notice that just like the city emits a balance of modernism and tradition, and so does its stylish young generation. The University of Valencia attracts a whole population of students from all over the world. The diversity that the school brings cultivates an entire city full of hip, trendy students.
A perfect example is today’s Fashionista. Originally from Poland, she enjoys mixing loud statement pieces with more simple neutral items. There really are no rules in this fun and lively city. This is precisely why this Fashionista loves to have fun with her outfit planning. The key is to finding a balance between more eccentric pieces and combining it with something simple. Here, she combines her statement vest with other playful pieces. The funky patterned shorts show off her lengthy legs; while the simple black crop T-shirt keeps the outfit in tact. To tie the whole look together, she added a gold pendent necklace and a pair of nude booties. By wearing a very classic piece, like the neutral statement vest, with more modern pieces the look embodies perfectly the vibe the city of Valencia gives off.
