FASHION FROM ABROAD: Extra Baggage

If you love having many wardrobe options, packing for a trip abroad can be a very stressful situation. Finding advice from a friend or searching travel blogs for tips on packing is easy, but deciding what you’re going to wear in a different country is the hard part. Packing your luggage light with basics will save you from having to lug around another carry-on. This week’s FASHION FROM ABROAD will help you mix and match basic items you never thought could be paired together.

This Fashionista is a prime example of what it means to be street-chic. She layers and wears her basics efficiently. My favorite part about her outfit is that her clothes look comfortable and effortless. Her colorful Nike running sneakers and rolled-up sweats give a laid back feel to her overall ensemble. I give credit to the fur trim on her parka and her infinity scarf for adding stylish detail to this outfit. Combined with a turquoise leather bag and green parka, her entire outfit is perfect for everyday wear.

Although each of these basics are different, when combined, they look like they belong together. The scarf and sneakers were paired together with color in mind. The green of the parka is neutral enough that it can be worn with her navy sweats and multi-colored accessories. Even the gold zippers on this Fashionista’s parka match the gold details on her purse.

If you are taking a trip abroad and are not sure what to pack, think of the basics and this Fashionista’s eye for mixing and matching.
