WHAT TO WEAR: Presentation

What to Wear

School is starting again and it’s rush week! There are booths on the right, booths on the left — so many clubs to join! Strolling down the booths, some are wearing a T-shirts with their club’s logo, while other clubs’ board members opt for a business casual look. As a Fashionista and recruiter, it is important to dress the part — and here is how we can get started.

This Fashionista immediately caught the eye of many passerbyers as she greeted each person with a genuine smile and a coffee in hand. She wore a peach toned blazer with prussian blue lapels against her simple white tank. It was certainly enough to attract a crowd. She paired her top with washed out ripped jeans and brown, above the ankle, faux leather boots, giving her a rocker edge. To tie the look together, she accessorized with layered necklaces, each piece falling at right angles to give the eye a sense of direction, while elongating the overall outfit. She calls her look “Business ‘Cas’ with Sass.” Although confidence is always key, dressing for success is often overlooked and obscure to some but after today’s tidbit, one mustn’t fear no more!

One Simple Change: For a more interview-appropriate outfit, switch out the jeans for a solid-colored knee length skirt. Be sure to exchange the comfy brown boots for a pair of black pumps or perhaps try dark blue flats or nude flats for a more professional look.
