ALL IN THE DETAILS: Sweater Weather

Right now life on campus is pretty mundane. Eat. Sleep. Study. Eat. Sleep. Study. Needless to say finals season is the worst. As you can probably guess style and getting dressed each day is the least of our worries on campus. This coming from me, the girl who has simply added a different oversized scarf to my leggings and sweatshirts all week to make it look like I am still trying. We hit single digits from Mother Nature this week in Wisconsin and today we hit a whopping negative one degree.

This Fashionsta, however, has her style game together. Little details that include comfort, style and simplicity are key for finals week. She completely nailed this look with a gray cowl neck oversized sweater, indigo wash jeans and gray booties. As you can tell nothing in this outfit is very complex but it’s the winter perfect details that not only make it great for finals but for this time of year. The best part of cowl neck sweaters is the built in scarf for additional warmth. If you are not into the bulk of wearing a big, warm scarf in the winter you should definitely check out the cowl neck trend.

When thinking about outfits, it is easy to get caught up in details but when it comes to busy tines of the year simple is better. This Fashionista opted for her simple sweater and jeans combo with some ankle boots and a cute handbag added the perfect finishing touch.

In the end no one wants to be stressing out about their outfit when the weight of finals is looming. So next time your ready to just throw on the leggings and sweatshirt combo take 30 seconds and grab an oversized comfy sweatshirt and some jeans and every one will admire you. I promise you will feel better about your day when your outfit is put together, and even better you will be able to focus more on those upcoming exams!
