Achieve This Summertime Look With Just a Few Easy Steps

Summertime is almost here, and I am so excited to be returning as a Style Guru this semester. Summertime means the beach, late nights with friends, and my favorite… warm weather! I am not a winter girl at all. I love relaxing outside and soaking up the sun. During the winter I usually prefer a more matte look for my makeup, so the summer is a great time to step outside of the box for me! I also love wearing my hair straight all the time so I decided to switch it up. I am so excited to show you how I achieved both this dewy makeup look and wavy hair.

Face:

Step 1: Clean. The first thing I always do is start with a clean and healthy face. It is so important to wash your face and moisturize your skin.

Step 2: Prime. It is especially important during the summer months to keep your skin hydrated. This is why I chose to go with my favorite primer by GLAMGLDW for a healthy glow.

Step 3: Conceal. I typically would put on foundation before concealer but that’s a lot of makeup for the summer. I really wanted to try and keep it light. I used my favorite concealer at the moment by Urban Decay. I apply this under my eyes.

Step 4: Contour. Since I am trying to keep this look as dewy as possible, I opted for a cream contour stick. Powders can look cakey and that is a big no for me! Apply this under your cheek bones.

Step 5: Blush. Milani Luminoso. Need I say more? This stuff is beautiful.

Step 6: Highlight. Ok, being honest here, I could not pick just one. Highlighters are my obsession. I decided to combine two of my favs, Cover FX Enhancer Drops in Moonlight and Soft and Gentle by MAC. I know this is meant for the high points of the face, but I’m obsessed so it ends up everywhere.

Step 7: Brows. I line the top and bottom of my brows and then fill in the sparse areas. To do this I use my Anastasia Brow Definer.

Step 8: Set it all with a setting spray!

Eyes:

Step 1: Crease. Any taupe color.

Step 2: Outer Corner. Any dark brown.

Step 3: Lid. Any shimmery champagne or gold.

Step 4: Brow Bone. Any white shadow.

Step 5: Eyeliner. Any black liquid for the top will work and any black pencil for the waterline.

Step 6: Mascara. My favorite at the moment is Too Faced Better Than Sex.

Hair:

Step 1: Part hair and put in two braids.

Step 2: Sleep with that in

Step 3: Take them out and spray your favorite shine mist!

As many steps as there are in this routine, I promise it is very simple. This does not take very long and I love how everything comes out! Dewy skin looks so pretty and I love hair styles that don’t involve heat. Start out your summer looking extra healthy and glowy!
