WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Hey there, Fashionistas/os! Whether you spend your week at job or sitting in class, we all know what it’s like to anxiously await the freedom of the weekend. And when it’s finally here, it’s time to throw that work uniform/class-wear aside and slip into something more fun and casual.

Here, this Fashionista shows us some of her personal weekend style. She paired some gorgeous, light-wash, distressed jeans with a very on-trend army green halter style crop top. She tied a navy and red flannel shirt around her waist which adds a cool, grunge style to the look while also being weather appropriate in case it cools down. She finished off the look with some lace-up, black combat boots to keep the look edgy and cool.

Not only is this look super cool and casual, it’s also very on trend. Distressed denim and flannel are totally making a comeback (’90s anyone?). Mixing these vintage-style pieces with current trends like a crop top and combat boots, like our fashionista does here, makes this outfit the perfect combination of old and new. This Fashionista proves that sometimes the most fashion-forward outfits are the most laid back; and there’s nothing better than looking both chic, yet effortless, at the same time.

One Simple Change: To take this super casual day look to a night out, just swap out a few pieces. Instead of these relaxed, light-wash jeans, opt for some black or dark-wash jeans. Trade in the flannel for a cropped leather jacket, add some jewelry, and you’ve taken this relaxed daytime outfit to a sophisticated ensemble perfect for a night out.
