WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Yves Saint Laurent once said: “I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity—all I hope for in my clothes.” Owning at least some type of denim in your closet is an essential. Denim on denim has been a popular trend since before our time and personally it is one of my favorite trends at the moment. It is a fresh and casual look that almost anyone can put together.

I don’t know about you but between jobs and internships usually during the summer I still have busy weekdays. During the week, I’m either wearing my work clothes or too tired to put an outfit together. So when the weekend comes I get really excited to go out and wear my favorite pieces.

This Fashionisto spends his weekdays working and the weekend is when he can go out and express his style. Decked out in all-denim, he’s bringing in the warm weather with this popular trend, and he executed it perfectly. When wearing denim on denim, you don’t always have to necessarily match the same shade of denim together. You could always do a light denim on top and a dark denim on the bottom. He decided to go with a light denim button-up and light denim shorts. Although the shades in his pieces are different from each other, the look still works and the denims blend in with each other. The rolled up sleeves on the shirt give the overall outfit a nice detail. To top it off he matches his outfit with some casual lace-up shoes.

One Simple Change: Have a date later that night? Or are you going out with the guys? Try switching up the shorts to some khaki chino pants for a more relaxed and polished look. If the outfit is too simple, you can also accessorize to add some more detail with a gold watch or a fitted cap.
