I’m sure that we can all agree that we all have those stressed filled weeks that just don’t seem to get better and all we want is the weekend. The time to unwind, kick back and relax! Why not keep it comfy but look good while doing it?
Let’s take a little trip. Close your eyes and picture yourself running errands, going out to lunch with friends and then ending the night with a group of people hanging out around a bonfire. Okay, now open your eyes! We need to style an outfit that we can use as a transition from day to night! Weekend wear is all about being comfy and versatile but also being camera ready at any given time!
There are so many ways that you can style a great weekend outfit. For me, living in Ohio, it is hot during the day and then gets chilly at night. The best tip that I have for people that may live in similar areas like me, is to always carry a cardigan or cute jacket with you.
I am loving the comeback of a simple jean skirt. I think that the comeback of the jean skirt is a new and improved version of what we used to wear. Jean skirts have been brought back with a slight modern twist. There are some that have no pockets, some that have buttons up the front and some that have pleats. I think that the jean skirt is a perfect but yet casual piece to start out your weekend outfit right.
Like I said before, the weekend is all about feeling comfortable without having to try. Throw on that jean skirt and pair it with a cute T-shirt tucked in. I am loving these because you can turn any plain outfit, whether it is jeans or leggings, and spice it up by adding a basic top that has a stylish graphic on it!
What’s a better way to be comfy on the weekend just by adding a pair of Vans, Converse or even a pair of TOMS shoes to your ensemble? The weekend is all about kicking off those heels and treating your feet to a break with flats and a comfy pair of sneakers!
Last but not least, you’re ending the day and notice it is getting a little dark out and the temperature is starting to drop. Grab your crochet cardigan or your jean jacket and throw it on and you’re ready to go!
This Fashionista is rocking a modern take on the A-line jean skirt, a simple T-shirt, a crochet cardigan and a pair of her favorite Vans. What is an outfit without some frosting? She tied together her look with a layered, gold necklace and some Alex and Ani bangles!
One Simple Change: Do you need a new girls night out outfit? Trade the Vans for a pair of your favorite heels, add a bodysuit, and throw on a sleek leather jacket to complete your look!
