WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

June 22nd, 2016 at 2:10am

Summer is finally here and that means there will be a lot of traveling, vacations, warm weather and spending a good amount of time on airplanes. I personally love looking put together when traveling, because when you get off the plane you will automatically make a good impression and feel good about yourself. Despite the fact that it is important to always put your best foot forward, you must keep in mind that airplane rides tend to be very long and uncomfortable. Therefore, it is important to always dress cute but still comfortably.

This Fashionista decided to wear a very laid back, yet cute outfit that is perfect for traveling. She wore a denim jacket to add a little color to the ensemble. Plus, airplanes and airports tend to get very cold, so a simple denim jacket like this one will help her stay warm and stylish simultaneously. Underneath the denim jacket, she decided to wear a simple white T-shirt that comes tied in a little knot on the bottom. This knot adds a casual vibe to the outfit and has more uniqueness to just the average white T-shirt. As for her pants, she kept it minimalistic with a pair of staple black leggings.

She opted for a pair of chic Sam Edelman flip flops, so it will be easier to go through airport security and still be comfortable. This Fashionista’s accessories are very minimal considering that going through security can get very stressful and complicated if you’re wearing tons of jewelry. A black kate spade new york purse is perfect for those on the go occasions, because it is the perfect size and will be very manageable to carry for a long and hectic day of flying.

It is vital to remember that for occasions like traveling, sometimes doing the very minimal can make the biggest statement. You do not always have to go decked out in a flamboyant outfit to make a lasting impression. I guarantee you that if you recreate this look for a day full of exciting travels, you will still look put together but secretly be super comfy as well. What’s better than style and comfort at the same time?

One Simple Change: So you just hopped off the plane at LAX and got to your hotel room, but only have a few minutes to get ready until your dinner reservations. Don’t worry—you can turn this look from day to night in a flash. Simply add a pair of black ripped jeans and ditch the flip flops for a pair of wedges. Changing the bottom half of this outfit can easily transform this look from daytime to a night out in the city!
