WHAT TO WEAR: Tailgating

As we are nearing the end of summer (I know, I don’t want it to end either) there is one thing I am so stoked about for the upcoming fall semester: classes. Ha, just kidding! It is obviously gator football in the swamp and this is my last football season as a UF undergrad and I want to look my best for all the tailgates and games. At UF, and any SEC school for that matter, tailgating and football go hand in hand. The whole campus is full of cars and everyone is decked out in orange and blue. It’s kind of an unwritten rule that girls wear orange, blue or white dresses to the games, but sometimes dresses are just too much of a pain (please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks sticky thighs are just the worst). Today’s Fashionista is wearing a perfect outfit for a college football tailgate that is both trendy and practical.

Today’s Fashionista is wearing a blue paisley print romper that is super light with breezy material. It has large, flowing leg openings that make it look like a dress, but still is comfortable and easy, as it is a romper. Tailgating usually happens a little ways from the stadium, so she paired her romper with brown leather sandals that are easy to walk in all day long and go with the boho vibe of her tailgate look. She finished off her look by adding a simple gold initial necklace, which is all the jewelry you need on a long, hot day of tailgating and watching college football.

If you are looking for some new outfits for game days this fall, use today’s Fashionista as your inspiration. Find a breezy romper in your school’s color(s) and pair it with minimal accessories to create a look that will keep you cool and cute from the morning tailgate and afternoon game, all the way to the victory party.

One Simple Change: Want to transition this look from the tailgate during the day, to going out to celebrate at night? Simply add a cropped jean jacket, bright pink lips and some nude wedges and you are ready to party.
