WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

We all get excited when summer finally hits because we can wear our fun colored pants and T-shirts without being uncomfortable for looking “too summery” or “too bright.” When the sun is out and you go to college in a beach city, lightening up your wardrobe is a must. Although all you who live on the water are probably spending most of your days in cute swimsuits (jealous), when it is time to hang with mom and dad for the day you have to bring those summer vibes to your look.

This Fashionisto likes to keep it simple and understated, yet still trendy and playful. The neutrality of a lighter khaki short with a light colored T-shirt can go a long way. In this look, the Fashionisto added a bright wash denim button-up giving him a nice, blue accent color that pops under the sun. Denim was also a great way to show off his trendy side while allowing him to stay in his simple element. The white Converse is a perfect shoe that does not pull the simplicity away from the outfit, are easy to slip off in the sand and bring in some early 1900s vintage to his style. The look is completed with the wood watch accessory. The light wood complements the khaki perfectly and is a great component to the neutral undertone of the outfit. This Fashionisto knows how to lighten up and is ready to walk around and enjoy the summer sun.

One Simple Change: Just got done showing off your beach city to the parents and headed for dinner and a night out? Keep the denim off and throw on a darker shirt; whether it be a button-down or any style of shirt, this darker color will give you a tidy and structured look that will have you ready for a nice dinner or a fun night out in the fresh ocean air.
