WHAT TO WEAR: Summer

You’ve handed in your books, received your final grades—it’s time to let off some serious steam after another semester of hard work. Thankfully, the best two and a half months of a student’s year has arrived. Summer vacation, otherwise known as the never-ending weekend. With this sun-shine and freedom comes all those endless summer activities you were dreaming of in between study breaks over the school year. With your mind stuck in school-mode for the last 10 months, it can be hard to transition yourself and your wardrobe into summer break. Your favorite pair of shorts have been shoved to the back of your closet, swimsuits have been sitting sadly at the bottom of a drawer. It is time to bring those pieces back to life and out for the world to see. This featured Fashionista is fully embracing the warm weather opportunity with her perfect summer outfit.

Dressed in (almost) head-to-toe Wet Seal, our Fashionista is wearing one of her favorite breezy summer dresses. It’s the perfect piece to keep you cool and cute in the summer heat. Although the dress is great on its own, she paired it with a hippy inspired crochet cardigan in a cream color that matches her studded sandals. The light colors in this outfit are how we know it was summer inspired. To finish the look off, an oversized tan purse was added to carry around any sunny day essentials like a favorite pair of sunglasses.

You can never go wrong in a sun dress when warmer days are approaching, it looks like our Fashionista is prepared!

One Simple Change: This is a perfect daytime outfit for shopping or grabbing lunch with friends. To transform it to a night out with the girls, all our Fashionista would need to do is switch the purse to a lighter option like a small clutch. The finishing touch would be a long necklace with a statement gem at the end, this will make you feel a little more dressed up even if you are just at a laid back start of summer party.
