WHAT TO WEAR: Library

For most students, summer break has started, but for some, finals week is just around the corner, which means long nights spent in the library studying pages of notes and finishing up any last minute papers.

Spending hours and hours locked up in a library is already a daunting task, which can turn into a nightmare if you’re not in the proper “studying” attire. To ensure your mind stays completely focused on the books, wear something loose fitting and comfortable. There’s nothing worse than studying in overly tight and confining clothing, which can then distract you from your studies.

When I spotted this Fashionista heading into the library, I had to stop her. She looked so comfortable and ready to take on whatever her long night of studying had in store, all while wearing an outfit that is the definition of casual-chic.

I instantly fell in love with her distressed boyfriend jeans. I am a huge fan of these jeans because of their loose fit and versatility. You can easily dress them up with a pair of heels for a night out or dress them down, just like this Fashionista did, for a day of studying in the library. And, best of all, they offer the same comfort level as sweatpants because they are not as tight as skinny jeans, though they are more stylish than your average pair of sweats.

This Fashionista nails the casual-chic look by pairing her distressed jeans with a simple black T-shirt. She tucked the shirt into her pants to create a more refined look, which also reveals a dark brown leather belt—a great accessory to pair with boyfriend jeans.

To complete her adorable library look, she carries a gorgeous, oversized tote bag, which is big enough to hold a laptop and any other studying essentials. After a semester of carrying a backpack that weighs too much, it’s good to give your back a break and carry a bag that is practical and on-trend.

A pair of nude and black sandals that are easy to slip on and off add the finishing touches. And not to mention, the nude strap adds a nice contrast to a look that is composed of mainly dark colors.

This Fashionista is ready to spend the day with her nose in the books, all while rocking an outfit that is stylish and comfortable. So next time you’re planning a study outfit, skip the sweatpants and reach for a pair of boyfriend jeans instead.

One Simple Change: After finals are over, celebrate the summer with your besties. For a night out with the girls, switch the top for a tighter crop top, add a pair of strappy heels and complete the look with a rocking leather jacket. You’re rocker chick look will surely stand out!
